Balancial values your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us, why we process it, and which rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

What we collect and why

• Enquiries through our contact forms: the information you enter (such as name, email address, company and your message) is used to answer your enquiry and follow up on it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you, or steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and (b)).
• Website analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used and to improve it. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Analytics is not loaded until you have given consent.
• Technical data and security: when you visit the website, technical data such as your IP address and browser information is processed by our hosting and security providers to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Service providers

We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf: Webflow (website hosting and forms), Cloudflare (content delivery, security and spam protection on forms), Weglot (translation of the website into German and Danish), Vimeo (video playback), Google (Google Analytics, only with your consent) and Cure AS (website development and the consent solution). Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and any resulting business relationship, and then deleted. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser, so that we do not need to ask you again on every visit.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example in your country of residence.
